Custom Logo Design
Like any business owner, you want your company logo to be the best, but how good is good?
What defines a good logo?
Is it necessary to be colourful or an exquisite piece of art?
Can a simple design work as a good logo?
In order to define the quality of a logo we first need to understand the purpose of having a logo. A corporate logo is perhaps one of the most essential branding components for your company. It should be instrumental in building your corporate identity and should successfully convey your company's attitude. When seeing the logo, the viewers must have some idea about the disposition, character, or fundamental values of your company. But most importantly, your logo should be able to build a positive, strong and long lasting impression on existing and prospective customers.
Take a moment and look at some well known logos: HP, Coca Cola, Nike - the moment you see their logos or even a part of it, the first thing that comes to your mind is the name of the company. This shows how strong an impression their logo leaves in our mind. Isn't that, what all of us are looking for?
How do you get your logo to leave such a strong long lasting impression? The key to this question is to make it easy to remember. Companies often make the mistake of assuming that a complicated artistic design might work well for them, while that might not necessarily be the case. It's important to realize that the simpler a logo is, the easier it will be to remember and therefore make a long lasting impression.
When designing a logo, it's important to prepare for all the possible mediums where your logo might be used. The logo is not going to be used in only one medium, you might use it on your business cards and stationery, you might use it in your website, you might also use it in the conventional media like newspaper classifieds and magazines. Our designers are aware of the various logo placement possibilities, color restrictions and possible problems that may arise.
Custom Logo Design Process
There are a host of factors that we take into consideration before designing a logo. When you place an order for a logo design, we ask that you provide our designers with a clear brief of your company profile, the industry you are in and the nature of logo that you are looking for. If you are not sure about the nature of logo that suits your company, our team can research the different types of logos used in your industry by your competitors and their impact.
Based on the company profile, or our team's research, we then deliver a series of rough concepts to choose from. As part of our methodology, we keep the client involved in the design process from start to finish. This way there are no surprises and the final product is up to par with your expectations.
Once a concept is agreed upon, we proceed to full color mock-ups and return with more refined works in progress. At this point the client is able to get a good idea of what the final product will look like and request adjustments.
Only once the color mock-ups are approved by the client do we proceed with a final, polished product. In the final package, we provide the client with the final logo in both full color and Black & White versions. The files are presented in vector format for easy reproduction.
